Charities at Barlaston
Since becoming a members' club in 1987, Barlaston has supported many local charities.
The nominated Captain's Charity for 2009 was the Donna Louise Trust and on Saturday 3rd July, 2010, a cheque was presented to Mr Ted Stanley - a representatvie from the Trust.
Past Lady Captain Mrs Gwen Bloor made the presentation along with Mr Colin Porteous, Treasurer and Past President and Mr Jim Pickerill, Captain for 2010.
The cheque was for £1850 and Mr Stanley said this was greatly appreciated and would help towards the care of the children and their families in this, the tenth year of the Donna Louise Trust.
Many thanks to all the members at Barlaston Golf Club who support and contribute to the Captain's Charity each year. Without them these donations would not be possible.
