On Friday 26th October 2018 Barlaston Golf Club held their Charity Open, with proceeds going to The Donna Louise Hospice, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and Pet Welfare, Stafford. A shotgun start at 12.30 pm with 24 teams competing, the weather at the start was pretty miserable, wet and cold, the rain eventually did stop for those competing although it remained cold. The event was sponsored by Jones and Shuffs Building Supplies and there were prizes donated for Nearest the Pin by Longton Trophy Centre, Collier Turf Supplies and Colin Sherwin and the Barlaston Green Keepers.
Ross Harris achieved a Hole in One at the 16th Hole.
