Dress Code for Members & Visitors
The Club Secretary, Golf Professional and Bar Manager have the authority to enforce the dress code. Those who do not comply may be refused access.
Members who flout the dress cose will be reported to the management committee.
On the golf course
Players must wear an acceptable standard of golfwear whilst playing the course.
Members are reminded that they are responsible for their guests’ conduct and dress code on the course and in the clubhouse.
The following are not permitted on the golf course:
- Any trousers or shorts which bear camouflage colouring
- Any type of tracksuits, leisure suits or leggings
- For reasons of safety – spikeless footwear of any kind is not recognised as golf footwear
- Collarless or sleeveless shirts
- Non tailored shirts
- Football socks
Please note that:
Shirts must be tucked into trousers at all times
Trousers must not be tucked into socks
- Shorts must be accompanied by predominantly white socks
- Roll necks, turtle necks and polo neck shirts are allowed
- Ladies sleeveless blouses that are specifically designed as ladies golfwear are allowed. Such blouses must be collared
- Ladies trainer socks which are specifically designed as ladies golfwear are allowed
- Hats must be worn in a conventional manner
In the clubhouse
Smart casual dress is required in the clubhouse at all times. Tailored straight edged shirts can be worn outside trousers.
The following are not permitted in the clubhouse:
- Spiked footwear of any kind
- Training shoes
- Waterproof or windproof clothing, although jumpers with windproof linings are allowed
- Headwear of any description
All restrictions that apply to the golf course, unless specifically excepted above, apply to the clubhouse.
The dress code may be amended at the Management Committee’s discretion.
