We firmly believe that junior golf is a vital component of a successful golf club.
The Club’s Administration follows the guidelines laid down by its governing body, England Golf, and includes Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Duty of Care. Barlaston Golf Club has the necessary facilities in place to ensure the safety of all the children that we coach and the opportunity to offer youngsters everything they need to get the maximum enjoyment from the game.
In 2024 the club appointed a new PGA professional, Tim Regan, and his assistant Mitchell Fairfax to provide the club’s Professional Services and help in the development of junior golfers. Tim has worked in the golf industry all his life and spent the past 16 years as Director of Golf at Aston Wood Golf Club.
At Barlaston we are not looking for the next golfing superstar, as nice as that would be, but have a desire to bring youngsters into the sport that want to play golf, enjoy golf and uphold the traditions of the game. Golf is not only a great game for fitness, achieving personal goals and building friendships but it also gives youngsters a great start in life and the opportunity to mix with others from many different backgrounds.
A junior membership of Barlaston Golf Club comes with many benefits. The first and most important is that junior membership to the age of 18 is deliberately kept at an affordable cost.
